Information You Provide

• Account information: When you sign up using Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account. We don't receive or store your Google password.
• Watchlist preferences: If you add vehicles to your watchlist or set price alerts, we store those preferences in your account.
• Payment information: If we introduce premium features in the future, payment processing will be handled by Stripe. We won't store your credit card details directly — Stripe handles that securely.

Information We Collect Automatically

• Log data: Like most websites, we collect information that your browser sends when you visit our site, including your IP address, browser type, operating system, and the pages you visit. We use this to understand how people use our Service and to fix problems.
• Cookies: We use cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. We don't use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and maintain the Service (display prices, track your watchlist)
• Send you price drop alerts via email when vehicles on your watchlist change price
• Communicate with you about your account or the Service

We do not sell your personal information, use it for advertising, or share it with data brokers.

How We Share Your Information

We share information about you in limited circumstances:

• Service providers: We use third-party services to help run RCStash. These providers only have access to the information they need to perform their services:
  • Supabase — database hosting and authentication
  • Vercel — website hosting
  • Resend — email delivery for price alerts
  • Google — authentication (sign-in)
  • Stripe — payment processing (future)
• Legal requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, such as in response to a subpoena or court order.
• Business transfers: If RCStash is acquired or merged with another company, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We'll notify you before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

How Long We Keep Information

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, though some information may remain in our backups for a limited time. We retain anonymized, aggregated data (like overall price statistics) indefinitely, as this data cannot be used to identify you.

Security

While no online service is 100% secure, we take reasonable measures to protect your information. We use HTTPS encryption for all data in transit, store data in secure cloud infrastructure (Supabase and Vercel), and limit access to personal data to only those who need it to operate the Service. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your Google account.

Your Rights and Choices

You have choices when it comes to your information:

• Access and correction: You can access and update your account information at any time through your dashboard.
• Delete your account: You can request account deletion by contacting us. We will delete your personal data within 30 days.
• Opt out of emails: You can unsubscribe from price alert emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in each email, or by removing vehicles from your watchlist.
• Cookies: You can set your browser to reject cookies, though this may affect your ability to stay signed in.

For European Users (GDPR)
